DALLAS B.U.I.L.D.
2017 Dallas Small Business Assessment - Funded by J.P. Morgan Chase Dream Spring and Next Street partnered together to produce and overall assessment of the Dallas ecosystem. They worked with local Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) to discuss the abundance of gaps throughout Dallas concerning access to capital. This led to a more inclusive work group with over 30 organizations which consisted of CDFI’s, Community banks, nonprofits, chambers of commerce and associations.
2018-1019
Through the broader discussions the DEC Network was nominated to be the ecosystem leader, and a strategy was developed for future ongoing work. The ecosystem’s efforts would consist of setting strategies, report on progress, and drive towards a more inclusive economy. From there the ecosystem was divided into three separate smaller work groups with Leaders for each group.
